Lower Secondary Education

The lower secondary school is for pupils visiting the 7th to 9th years and provides general education and vocational specific subject matter to simplify the choice of occupation. Pupils are able to choose tuition to fit their preferences and capabilities; this will lead them to occupational maturity.

Pupils will carry out a two week industrial placement during the 8th and 9th years.

They will acquire the Lower Secondary Certificate at the end of the 9th year.

Pupils with the Lower Secondary Certificate are entitled to vocational training and to enter certain vocational schools.

If the pupil has a certain average grade, it is possible with an individual assessment to acquire the Qualified Lower Secondary Certificate, which in turn will qualify for entrance to the 10th year for intermediate education.
